Piermont, NH - Marilyn Cox Green, 71, died Saturday July 27, 2024, at the Jack Byrne’s Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center surrounded by family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, William E. Green IV of Piermont, NH, and her children Ashley Cox of Piermont, NH, William E. Green V (Danielle Burton) of Piqua, OH, and Lindsay Green-Gavrielidis (Dimitrios Gavrielidis) of Providence, RI; six grandchildren (Landen, Ariana, Samantha, William, Georgios, and Charles); and two great grandchildren (Oakleigh and Brayden); siblings Carolyn Cox of Chattanooga, TN, Samuel Cox (Jackie Kioski-Cox) of Van Buren, AR, Charles P. Cox (Claudia Cox) of Wichita, KS, and many other relatives and close friends.
Marilyn was born and raised in Bowling Green, KY and is the daughter of Edith Long and Charles K. Cox. Marilyn moved to Colorado where she met her husband before settling in the Upper Valley in 1984. Marilyn worked at Upper Valley Press for 27 years until she retired in 2020.
Marilyn loved gardening, flowers, camping, and family. She spent many hours tending to her flower and vegetable gardens or relaxing next to her backyard pond. She will be missed by all who knew her. Flowers can be sent to Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, VT.
Visiting hours are Wednesday July 31st, from 6-8 pm at Hale Funeral Home and the funeral will be held at Piermont Church in Piermont, NH on Thursday August 1, 2024, at 11 am followed by burial to the South Lawn Cemetery in Piermont, NH. Reception to follow at the church.
