Marjorie was born September 3, 1921 in Worcester, Mass. She graduated from Becker College in 1942. She was married to Alonzo Simpson on July 31, 1944 until his death on December 20, 1971. On November 3, 1974 she was married to Robert Sweet until his death on May 23, 2005. Marjorie worked as an insurance agent, and later as a legal secretary until her retirement. She was a member of the East Corinth UCC Church, EC Church Women's Fellowship, the Minerva Chapter of Eastern Star and a supporter of Northeast Ski Slopes and the Valley Health Center. She enjoyed gardening, reading, plants and flowers, shopping and spending time with her children, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Julia Robinson and two brothers, Benjamin Robinson Jr. and George Robinson. Marjorie is survived by her two sons, Steven Simpson and his wife, Mary-Ann of East Corinth; and Scott Simpson and his wife, Gayle, of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren, David Simpson and his wife Holly of Barre Town, VT; Steven Simpson Jr. and his wife Tara of Barre Town, VT; Jennifer Smith and her husband Jonathan of Milton, VT, and Lauren Martin and her husband, Gregory, of Trumbull, CT; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra Simpson, Brandon Simpson, Camden Simpson, Gage Simpson, Tyler Martin and Braden Smith; two sisters, Helen Herrick of Charlotte, NC and Ginny Gough of Lakeland, FL. She is also survived by three step-children, Robert Sweet and his wife Sylvia of Bradford, VT; Sharon Wakefield and her husband, Jack of Hartford, CT; Sydney Sweet and his wife Kitty of Orange, VT and Dorothy Sweet of Rice, MN. Services will be held at the East Corinth Congregational Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 18th. Burial will be held at the East Corinth Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours.
