Mary Ann Barton Fair

She attended schools in Bradford, VT and graduated valedictorian from Bradford Academy in 1952. She also received the coveted DAR Award for her outstanding achievements and character. She also worked in her parents restaurant (The Chimes) all through school. She graduated from Bryant College in Providence RI and went on to become a very proficient secretary. After working in Springfield, MA she came back to Bradford and ran the Bradford Inn for a couple years. After leaving Bradford she traveled around the US and Canada with her husband. They ended up in Inglewood, CA where she worked for the city water department for a short time before moving to Las Vegas where she remained until her passing. Mary Ann was a beautiful woman who was loved and respected by everyone. She is survived by her brother, Dr. James Barton and sister, Catherine Martin and her husband Roger, a cousin Maribeth Ames and husband Bernard and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves an Aunt and Uncle and their families in Greece. There will be no calling hours and she will be laid to rest at a later date.
