East Corinth - Mary Louise Paquette, 77, passed away peacefully in her home in East Corinth, Vermont on August 17th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Wayne Paquette, sister, Joette McEwen of Chelsea, VT, her children; daughter, Terri Ladeau of Island Grove, FL, daughter, Virginia Smith and her husband Daniel Aremburg Jr. of Sharon, VT, and son, Roger Smith II of White River Junction, VT, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Crewe, Virginia on January 3rd, 1947, to her parents Euclid and Virginia (Bjorkman) Taylor. She grew up in Woodstock, Vermont and later in life, ended up raising her children in Hartford, Vermont.
After her son began school in 1976, Mary began working for the Hartford School District as a para-educator. She dedicated the better part of two decades to the school district. In 1998, she began working as an LNA for Hanover Terrace until she retired in 2012.
In 2000, Mary met her husband Wayne through a mutual friend. Their first date was at Weathervane in West Lebanon, NH. They were married one year later on June 8th, 2001. They lived a joyful life together at their home in East Corinth.
Mary loved spending time at home reading, watching birds and flipping birds, and watching western shows and movies with her husband. Throughout her entire life, she enjoyed watching the Kentucky Derby. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Visiting hours are Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm at Hale Funeral Home at 187 Upper Plain Bradford.
