Ramon E. Smith

Ramon E Smith 70, of Newbury passed away at his home on September 10th 2022. He was born in West Stewartstown, NH on June 19th, 1952 to Oliver and Patricia (Mousseau) Smith.
Ramon grew up in Pittsburgh, NH and worked multiple jobs throughout his years, mostly as a truck driver.
In 1970 he married the love of his life, Martha Perkins (Marty) and they were married for 52 years until her death in July 2022. They had two sons, Wayne and Shano. In his spare time, Ramon loved camping, fishing, going to truck pulls and races.
He also loved country music and in his younger years was in a Country band with his father and brother-in-law. He was a self-taught bass guitarist.
His favorite place to be was at the camp he and his boys built in Pittsburg, NH.
Ramon is survived by his son Wayne and wife Connie, son Shanon, grandchildren Nikki and husband John, Nathan, Daniel, Zachary and Maddison. Great grandchildren Danielle, Weston, Landon, Norrie, Joseph and Layla. His brother Vance Smith, sister Marrion Booska, and sister Priscilla Barnes and many nieces and nephews. His companion and beloved dog Jasmine and granddog Spike.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Marty, parents Olive and Patricia Smith and a sister Maxine.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 22nd from 5 to 7 PM at Hale Funeral Home in Bradford.
Funeral services will be at 1pm on Friday September 23 at the Newbury Congregational Church with burial to follow at Oxbow cemetery in Newbury.
