Bradford, VT – Randy J. Jamieson, 61, passed away at his home on April 25, 2025. Born on May 20, 1963, in Barre City, VT, he was the son of John W. Jamieson and Shirley (Nelson) Jamieson.
Randy attended Spaulding Vocational Center, where he trained in welding and machining, before graduating from Williamstown High School in 1981. He began his career at Malden Mills during his senior year and worked there for several years before moving on to Rock of Ages as a machinist, where he dedicated 15 years to his craft.
In 2006, Randy fulfilled his lifelong dream and moved to Montana, continuing his work as a machinist. Eventually, he took on a role at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he applied his skills in a new environment.
In July of 2018, Randy returned to Vermont with his new puppy, Lucy, settling in Bradford, where he lived until his passing. He treasured the companionship of his loyal dog and embraced life back in his home state.
Randy was a true outdoorsman, embracing the thrill of hunting and fishing with a bold and adventurous spirit. He had an incredible ability to connect with people and was a friend to everyone he met, always ready with a story, a helping hand, or a good laugh. A gifted storyteller, he could captivate an audience with tales that kept friends and family entertained, sharing moments of humor, adventure, and wisdom
Randy was predeceased by his father, John W. Jamieson. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Jamieson; his daughter, Savannah Jamieson Rodriguez, her husband Aaron, and their four children, Cole, Ariel, Ryder, and Thatcher; his sister, Rhonda Willette, and her husband Andy; his nephew, Jared J. Carrier, and his wife Rachel of Williamstown; and his nephew, Jordon R. Carrier, and his partner Adrianna of Danville and His Aunt and Uncle Beth and Dexter Tilden of Post Mills.
A celebration to honor his life will be held at a later date.
