Newbury, VT- Raymond E. West, 82, of Newbury passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in White River Jct., VT surrounded by his family.Ray was born March 11, 1933 in North Plainfield, NH the son of Elmer and Geraldine (Bullock) West. Ray Graduated from Hanover High School and served his country in the Korean War in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1952-1955.He worked as a truck driver for Dacato Brothers Trucking as well as working for many different companies including Stanley Tools, Werner Enterprises and Button's Supermarket.Ray enjoyed gardening, especially growing organic Garlic.He is survived by his wife Donna E. West as well as five siblings, four children, six step-children and their extended families.A private burial will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015.
