Renwick (Ren) Charles Millican

Renwick (Ren) Charles Millican, 72, of Bradford, VT passed away at his home on May 26 from a prolonged illness. Ren was born on February 23, 1949, son of the late Charles Frederic Millican and Janet (Davis) Millican of Lexington, MA. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1967 and then went on to attend the Boston School of Music. Ren was passionate about music and was a truly gifted musician. His love of music began with his training in and love for classical music but included all types of musical genre. He was a member of several bands in his youth, including The Mad Hatters, Loaded Dice, and he was a member of Van Morrison's band for a time. He was also the organist at the Bradford United Congregational Church for many years. Ren enjoyed teaching others how to play various instruments and gave lessons to many members of the surrounding communities. In addition to his passion for music, Ren was an avid baseball fan and l oved the Boston Red Sox. He rarely missed a game in which they were playing, with one faithful dog or another by his side. Renwick is survived by his mother Janet Millican of Lexington, MA, his beloved dog Sasha, and many lifelong friends. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 5th at Sawyer Cemetery.
