Robert Irving Peeler “Bob”, 86 of Hartland, Vermont passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 22, 2024, at his home in Hartland, Vermont after a valiant fight with a long illness. Bob was born on January 12, 1938, in Fitchburg, MA, the son of Charles and Helene Peeler. He grew up in Ashburnham, MA and attended trade school in Worcester, MA, graduating in 1956. Bob entered the U.S. Navy and served from 1956 to 1960. As a long-time resident of Hartland, Vermont, Bob owned and operated Marus Printing. He was in the printing business for over 50 years. He was an active member of the Woodstock Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow and an honorary member of the Windsor Rotary Club.
Bob is survived by his twin brother Matthew Peeler of Ashby, MA, his sister Susan Dean of Chesapeake, Virginia and his six children and their spouses and partners, Bill and Jane Williams of Minnetrista, MN, Doug and Jen Peeler of Hartland, VT, Kristine Peeler and Peter Clark of Woodbury, VT, Shawn and Malisa Williams of Brownsville, VT, Matt Peeler and Sue Esty, and Mark Peeler and Laurie Young, also of Hartland, VT. Bob is also survived by his first wife Viola Peeler and his nieces and nephew Pam Peeler, Beth Gallant and Charlie Littlehale, as well as nine grandchildren, Nathaniel Williams, Ashley Williams, Brianna Hoffman, Mikala Neeser, Annie Mostad, Audrey Holl, Eric Young, Nora Peeler and Hayden Peeler. Bob has eight great grandchildren, Bailey, Wyatt, Aiden, Jack, Adam, Hattie, Levi and Brooks and many other friends and extended family that he dearly loved.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 20 years, Deborah H. Peeler, his brother’s wife Nancy Peeler and his nephew Eric Peeler. Along with these precious souls, Bob’s smile, songs, positivity, humor and shining love for others will be greatly missed.
