White River Jct., VT- Roger Henry, 78 of Connecticut River Road died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Hanover Healthcare Terrace. He was born in Hanover, NH on April 7, 1933 the son of Don and Lillian (Shepard) Henry. He had lived in Lebanon, Plainfield, NH and most of his life in White River Jct., VT. Roger was the owner and operator of Roger Henry Scrap Metal of White River Jct., VT for fifty years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Roger helped many people and was a friend to many. He was a devoted husband and friend to his wife Rosemary Henry for thirty-six years. Roger enjoyed playing cards and his family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie of White River Jct., VT; five daughters, Debbie Henry and her husband Ron of White River Jct., VT., Betty Cox and her husband John of White River Jct., VT, Annette Jenks and her husband Mike of Brookfield, MA, Susan Henry of Sharon, VT and Maggie Millen of Aubrey, TX; nine grandchildren, Robin Jenks, Heather and Don Allard, Michael LaMotte, Bethany Millen, Callie Cox, Kurtis and Ross Talbert and Sarah Wainwright and one great-grandchild, Asa Johnson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Don Henry Jr. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Bugbee Senior Center, Route 5, WRJ, VT 05001 or to the Boy Scouts of American, The Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT is in charge of arrangements.
