Dover, NH- Sally Ann (Southworth) Carter, 80, of Dover, NH who died on Thursday, September 24, 2015One of two daughters born to J. Gordon Southworth and Ruth Frances (Waterman) Southworth in Post Mills, VT, on February 2, 1935 and raised on farms in the area.Survived by her daughter Patti J. Ferri of Weare, NH; son Timothy N. Carter and his wife Denise of Somersworth, NH; granddaughters Alyssa (Ferri) Schober and her husband Brian of Stirling, NJ; Melanie (Ferri) Howard and husband Christopher of Henniker, NH; and great grandson Mason Lynwood Howard of Henniker, NH; her sister Jane (Southworth) Brown and companion Ray Champagne of Bradford, VT; brother-in-law, Ned Carter and his wife Verna of Bradford, VT; sisters-in-law Betty Osgood of North Thetford, VT; Jean Hodge of Bradford, VT; several nieces and nephews.She graduated from Bradford Academy in 1953 and attended college and earned her degree in secretarial studies in Northampton, MA. After she and Lyn were married in Fairlee, VT, they moved to South Berwick, ME, where she worked as a secretary/bank teller at a local bank. She worked in banking most of her life until she began working at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Admissions from where she retired in 1998. She enjoyed travelling with Lyn and often took trips with her sister Jane.Sally was an active member in the First Parish Church where she sang in the Choir for years. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, and looked forward to their monthly activities.A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10am at the First Parrish Congregational Church, Central Ave., Dover, NH. Interment will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 1pm in the family lot in the Post Mills Cemetery in Post Mills, VT.In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Susan G.
