Theodore Charles Goodfleisch

US Navy Veteran Theodore Charles Goodfleisch, son of Theodore Joseph Goodfleisch and Jean Hume Strecker Goodfleisch, died at the age of 75 on September 26, 2021. An accomplished basso profundo, Ted sang in church choirs all his life and with many choruses, including the Bronx Choral Society, the Cleveland Metropolitan Chorus, the Cleveland Messiah Chorus, and others, including a brief time with the North Country Chorus.
Ted was known as Pastor Ted to churches in Ohio and New Hampshire and was a member of the Piermont Congregational Church. He also spent a year in the Bradford Congregational Church choir. His ashes will be interred in the Piermont South Lawn Cemetery alongside his first wife, Shirley. He is predeceased by his father, his mother, his brother, US Navy veteran Eugene William (Buddy) Goodfleisch of Enfield and Piermont, New Hampshire, and his sisters Janice Goodfleisch Sommerer of Piermont, and Laurel Ann Goodfleisch of The Bronx, New York. This ends this branch of the Goodfleisch line. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Kay Darling of North Weymouth, Massachusetts, and cousins James Francis Meddaugh of Mountain Lakes, New Hampshire, Leslie Jean Meserve of Beaverton, Oregon, and Jennifer Morey Baldwin of Beaverton, Oregon.
A lifelong learner, Ted taught himself to program in various software, allowing him to progress from claims examiner to assistant to the executive vice president of a large re-insurance company.
Ted loved gardening and photographing his own flowers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Piermont Congregational Church. Burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
