Bradford, VT- Thomas Loren Stanley passed away peacefully at his home in Bradford, on April 28, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He has now joined God in peace.Thomas was born on May 1, 1933, the son of Wilbur and Irene Stanley. He was raised in Union Village with brothers, Jesse and Jerry and sister, Virginia.He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Gladys Stanley as well as his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Barb Stanley and his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Bob Kruse.He had three grandchildren, Mike, Tonya and Kim andeight great grandchildren.Thomas worked at the Elizabeth Copper Mine before becoming an accomplished carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing with Gladys on Saturday nights and was an avid reader who enjoyed embroidery. He was often found in his word working shop after retirement.Our deepest gratitude goes to the staff of Bayada Home Health Care for their wonderful care and support of the family.Services will be held on Saturday, May 14th at Union Village Methodist Church at 1pm with a reception to follow.
