Orford, NH- Timothy A. Ruff, Sr died on November 21, 2010 from a sudden pulmonary embolism while being treated for multiple myeloma. He was 49 years old. Tim grew up in Warner, NH and spent his career working in the wood industry. He was the owner of K.E. Whitcher saw mill in Warren, NH from 2000 to 2005 and most recently the co-owner and manager of Twin State Pallets and Crates located in Orford, NH. Besides spending time with his family, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, hunt, fish, camp, play the harmonica, and walk by the ocean. He also enjoyed making pottery, taking photographs and volunteering with the students at Rivendell. He leaves behind his wife, Carol Sobetzer, son Jackson, daughter Katie, daughter Krystle, son TJ, his mother, Benita Flanders, his brothers George, Bryon, Scott, Mark and Arthur, his sister Tina and a large number of nieces and nephews and three grandchildren. Burial is private at the family's convenience. There will be a memorial service on December 4th at the Samuel Morey Elementary School gym at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tim Ruff Memorial Scholarship Fund, made out to RISD and sent to the Rivendell District Office, Main Street, Orford, NH 03777.
