William G. Poley

Newbury, VT- William G. Poley, 99, of Newbury, VT and a long time resident of Bradford, VT died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct, VT. He was born in Boston, MA on July 7, 1914 the son of William and Elizabeth (Latchford) Poley. He graduated from Agricultural School in Williamstown, VT. He moved from Springfield, VT in 1946 to Bradford, VT where he owned the Bonnie Brae Cabins and Store for many years, after his retirement he was the tax collector for the Town of Bradford, VT for more then twenty-five years. He is survived by one daughter, Jane Pustizzi of Norton, MA; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one niece, Ann Hewitt of Galesville, Maryland. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Eastman, one brother, John Poley and one niece Janet Poley. Graveside funeral services will be held on May 15, 2014 at 1 pm in the family lot in the Waits River Cemetery in Topsham, VT. There are no calling hours.
