Bradford, VT- William E. Wolf, 75, of Bradford died October 11, 2013 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. He was born in Torrington, CT on December 20, 1937 the son of Louise and Jennie (Baker) Wolf. He was a graduate of Torrington High School and then went on to Bryant College and also served in the United States Air Force. He and Lucille were married in 1975 before moving to Vermont and have lived in Bradford ever since. He worked as a Corporate Tax Auditor for the State of Connecticut before moving to Vermont where he worked at the Norwich Inn as a Manager and Bar Tender, then onto New England Industries as Office Manager and retired from there in 1999. He joined the Charity Lodge# 43 F&AM in 1976 where he held the offices of Secretary and Treasurer for many years. He joined Iona Chapter # 31 OES in 1976 where he served in various offices, notably "Worthy Patron" many times and most recently as secretary. He was a member of the Vermont Eastern Star Home Inc. and was recently presented with a plaque commemorating twenty-five years of service. He also enjoyed volunteering at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. He is survived by his wife Lucille of Bradford, VT., three step-sons, Scott Miller and his wife Roslyn of Dallas TX., Dean Miller of West Fairlee, VT and Kent Miller and wife Rebecca of Thermopolus, WY.; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one sister, Elaine Stein of Silver Springs, MD.; nieces Judi Lapidus and husband Bryan and family of Silver Springs, MD and Levia Fridman and husband Todd and family of Portland Oregon and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by one step-son. A gathering of friends will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 6 pm at the Charity Lodge # 43 F&AM on Route 25 in Bradford, VT. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at a later date.
