Bradford, VT-James Dean Larabee, 60, of Bradford, VT died June 27, 2020 at his home.

He was born July 23, 1959 in Hanover, NH the son of Dean S. Larabee and Janice (Pollender) Larabee.

James graduated from Oxbow High School in 1977. Upon graduation, he joined the US Navy for 4 years and was stationed on the west coast aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea. After his discharge he joined the Bradford National Guard, discharging in 2001.

In 1985 he was married to Jessie Clark of Fairlee, VT. They had three children, Jani, Jeremi and Jamey. This marriage ended in divorce.

James worked at Split Ball Bearing in Lebanon, NH, New England Industries in Bradford, VT, Huntington Construction in Bradford, VT, and was a bus driver for Upper Valley Services. He was also employed at Bradford Veneer and Panel Company, and at the time of his death was employed at Pompanoosic Mills in East Thetford, VT.

He was predeceased by his father, Dean, and his maternal grandparents Ernest and Martha Pollender, his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Fannie Larabee and his great-grandmother, Christie Shearer.

He is survived by his three children, Jani Anderson of Warren, NH, Jeremi Larabee of Bradford, VT, and Jamey Larabee of Woodsville, NH, 7 grandchildren, his mother, Janice Larabee of Bradford, VT, his sister, Joni Larabee of Port Orange, FL, brothers, Jon Larabee of Bradford, VT, and Jac Larabee of Ohio, two half-brothers, Dale and Donald Larabee, two half-sisters, Barbara Joslyn and Brenda Clapp, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Randolph, VT at the convenience of the family. Hale Funeral Home of Bradford, VT is in charge of arrangements.
