Kevin was born on January 18, 1961 in Barre, Vermont to Eben and Patricia (Comstock) Ricker.
He graduated from Thetford Academy in 1978 after which he worked initially at the Dartmouth Dining Services in Hanover. Kevin went on to run his own store and garage in Vershire and then worked for over sixteen years at Orford High School.
As a boy Kevin enjoyed fishing and he and his brothers were up before dawn on opening day and were always the first to the river. He also enjoyed hunting and collecting guns which led him to work at Otter Outfitters in Woodsville, NH. He became a Certified Bow Technician which served him very well when he opened his own retail bow and gun shop called Kevin’s Custom Arrows, which he owned and operated for more than fifteen years.
Kevin is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Jennifer McLure Ricker and his daughter Emily of Verhsire. He is also survived by his brothers Philip (Phyllis) of West Fairlee and Gary (Tina) of Vershire. Kevin had several loving nieces and nephews, Philip J. Ricker II and Stephanie Palma of Vershire, Christine Verma and husband Manish of Rhode Island, Dallas R. Ricker and Josh Sanborn as well as Sydney P Ricker and Michael Thurston also of Bradford. He was blessed with great nieces and nephews Namish, Priyasha, Phillip III, Jonathan and Sage Sanborn.
It was Kevin’s expressed wish not to hold calling hours or a Memorial Service. The family plans to hold a get-together at a later date to celebrate his life.
