Obituary

Haverhill, NH-Lydia H. Reardon, 93, of Court Street died Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.

She was born June 27, 1927 in Brighton, MA the daughter of Maurice Hanagan and Ruth (Sweeney) Hanagan. She attended schools in Rollinsford, NH and was a graduate of Dover (NH) High School.

On October 27, 1946 she married Herbert Reardon who died in 1998.

Mrs. Reardon was a bookkeeper for most of her life, first at Montgomery Ward, then at Judson-Dunaway, retiring from Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover.

For many years she was an active 4-H Leader, a member and deacon at the Haverhill Congregational Church, and a deacon at First Parish Congregational Church in Dover. Mr. and Mrs. Reardon loved to cook and bake for family and the community.

Survivors include daughter, Patricia (Hugh) Underhill of Haverhill, NH, daughter, Cynthia (William) Putnam of Piermont, NH, granddaughter, Carrie Putnam of Piermont, NH, grandson, Tim (Sarah) Putnam and their daughter, Clara Putnam of Piermont, NH, grandson, Dan (Erin) Putnam of East Wakefield, NH, sister-in-law, Marjorie Long of Chatham, MA, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Reardon, a son, Bradbury Reardon in 2019, and a sister, Gail Norton.

Private family services and burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery in Piermont, NH. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, VT.
